I modified the pattern for a child by casting on 84 stitches and knit 5 inches before starting the decreases.

Mary, I am primarily a quilter. That is why I started following your blog. Recently I picked. Up knitting again after a 35-year sabbatical (ha ha). I just started a baby’s hat in baby weight yarn. First time knitting in the round using a magic loop. Is that how you make your hats, or do you seam them?
