Back on my design wall

I should never take a quilt in progress off the design wall and I don’t even remember why I took this one down but I’d like to get the top assembled before the end of the year …

I need more blocks but I’m thinking I might do a border or two to finish it up quicker … we’ll see. For now, I’m piecing some blocks.

I made another version of this quilt earlier this year and it was gifted to my Daughter-in-law’s mother. I love how it turned out!

I have brief instructions on my website here – Easy Flock of Geese

  1. I really love the turquoise, purple, green colour scheme for your daughter-in-law’s mother’s quilt – it is so pretty and happy! Wishing you and yours a happy Christmas and a better year in 2019, particularly health-wise.
We are hoping to be blessed with a more compassionate government at both state and federal levels after next year’s elections. I have about had it with selfish money-orientated right wing governments

  2. Isn’t it fun to get back to a forgotten project? I love the greens and browns, giving the hint of a tree without being too graphic!! I haven’t done too much with my Accuquilt. Do you find the Qubes are the most economical way to get started with some of the essential shapes?

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years for you and your family!

  3. Hi Mary! What a pretty quilt in all the jewel tones of blue and purple. It really shines! And I love the simple border, too. I’ll bet she was thrilled to receive it! Happy Thursday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. I love your quilt especially the one given as a gift. The colors sing to me. I have 70+ scrappy Flock of Geese 12″ blocks left I made back around 2005. Each block having 2 large and 8 small triangles. 60 already have used in 3 quilts for Quilts of Valor. Don’t know what I was thinking. Pictures on my blog.
