I said it was going to have to be an easy one for me to get it done this month. I’m still scrambling trying to get tidied up from Christmas and getting ready for Mom’s visit but the rest of the week is going to be busy too so I kept sewing until I had a top. I saw a quilt like this somewhere, maybe the Moda Bake Shop or Craftsy but didn’t use a pattern. It used 2 Charm packs that I bought at Craftsy.
I don’t know why I don’t make more small quilts like this … they’re a perfect size for pinning and working on the big ironing board…no crawling around on the floor!

I have started piecing mine, but that is all.
I have resolved to begin making smaller quilts. I have more large quilts than I have space to store and my shoulders don’t like quilting them.

Are your strips 2-1/2”? I need to make 3 baby/toddler quilts for great niece & nephews…this pattern would be perfect!
Love it. Small quilts are easy and more likely to be just what someone wants since they are generally given to a child in need. It makes him or her feel special and makes the family happy too.
I really like the colors–an unusual combination and comforting.

Hello Mary, your quilt reminded me of a baby quilt I have in the works. It was a pattern from the Moda Bake Shop called Building Blocks from the designer of Meadow Mist Designs.

I like your pattern too and it makes the quilt a little larger, I believe (about 45 inch x 50 inch?).

Great quilt. I like the idea of using some precuts. I was going to say I don’t often buy precuts but somehow I’ve accumulated quite a variety of precuts. Maybe I should make a quilt like yours from a set of charm packs I have. Or, I could finish a ufo to a top. Decisions, decisions.
