Bowties!

I was looking though some of my files last night and came across the pattern for this bowtie quilt I made a few years ago (it was a Craftsy kit) and I thought it would be a nice one for Mom to make from her 30’s fabric.

We got to talking about Bowtie quilts we’d made and I remembered that I’d made one from one or two (I can’t remember!) charm packs several years ago. If I’m remembering correctly, there was a little book that was gifted me with the Charms but I couldn’t tell you where it is now – somewhere in the library! However, I looked online and found a pattern on the Moda Bake Shop – I like my layout below better but you can find the instructions on how to make the bowties from charms there.

Are you participating in the 2019 Precut Party? I can’t wait to see everyone’s January Charm quilts!

  1. Hi Mary! I’ve never made a bowtie quilt, but thanks for sharing the link on how to. Looks easy enough, and it is a perfect pattern for 30s prints. I love the polka dot quilt you’ve shared! ~smile~ Roseanne
