We’ve got the blocks made for one of the 9 patches and heart quilts. Mom’s going to take all the hearts (for both quilts) home with her and machine appliqué them but these are all fused.

We were auditioning borders and while the rust looks like a clear choice in this photo, the purple looks great too and that’s the one Mom chose.

In case anyone is interested, these are our notes for this quilt. We used my Accuquilt heart die – the hearts are fused with fusible web and Mom will machine appliqué them using a blanket stitch.
Quilt size – 54 x 72
Block size – 6 inches (6.5 inches with seam allowances)
Set blocks 7 across and 10 rows down starting with a 9 patch.
Cut inner border 2 inches
Cut outer border 5 inches
What a pretty quilt these will be!
Beautiful.
A lovely quilt.
I see your mom is just as fast as you are sewing. I love this quilt and the purple looks great!
What a lovely quilt–i really like the heart appliques…nice work hugs, Julierose
It lovely as are the two choices for borders. I like the purple the best.
Love the heart quilt. I think either border looks great but the purple just seems to go with the hearts.
I really like the quilt! It’s another nice donation quilt. I’m in the middle of making 4 of your Quick Strippie quilt.
These will be beautiful. Another great scrappy design. Great job ladies!
Hi Mary! I love this collection of blocks with appliqué pieces. Your fabrics choices work so well together – it is just a happy quilt. I’ll bet it makes both of you smile, too. Great job. Happy Friday to you both. ~smile~ Roseanne
