Finished

Mom finished hand stitching the binding down last night and I stitched the labels tonight – one of hers, and one of mine. This counts as my first UFO finish for 2019. While I don’t count Mom’s projects waiting for me to quilt in my UFO list, I do count those tops she pieces for me that aren’t yet quilted and bound.

EDIT: Penny pointed out the quilt in the photo was upside down … so I flipped the photo 🙂

Made from a quilt I bought at Mom’s local quilt shop in VA and quilted freehand – dwirling from the Pajama Quilter DVD.

  1. Your world is upside down! I made a world quilt earlier this year and my pictures were upside down so I used the recipients and swore I never took any!. I love the color choices and your quilting simple, but makes a huge statement.

  2. Both quilts are really pretty, and I love your quilting on the world quilt. I also like the purple border on the hearts quilt. —“Love”

  3. great quilt! Like the quilt pattern too. FYI a very dear friend who has moved to the Villages is going to be a featured artist in the World Quilt Show in TAmpa on Jan.31- Feb 2 She is a terribly talented quilter and artist, perhaps you would like to go see her work Her name is Kathy Campau, she would be happy to meet another talented artist. Thanks, Gail Norback
