9 patches and hearts #2

We didn’t work long today but I pieced a backing and straightened up a bit while Mom fused the last of the hearts for our 2nd quilt. This one will not have a border and I didn’t put all the blocks up on the design wall since I’ll have to wait until Mom appliqués the hearts before finishing it but I did want to see how it’s going to look …

  • Quilt size is is the same as the first one – 54 x 72
  • blocks are 6 inches finished (6.5 with seam allowances)
  • blocks are set 9 across and 12 rows down
  • we used my Accuquilt heart die for the appliqué (fused them with Heat and Bond lite and Mom will machine stitch them down)

  1. I have seen 3 months of work at my pace in the last week at your house – admittedly there are 2 of you. I am just happy that you are able to work together and make thinks that bring joy.

  2. I really like this quilt! It looks like it could use up a lot of scraps! And I suppose if one didn’t want hearts, any outline would do!
