Precut Party – February

January was Charm Squares, February is Fat Quarters! After we finished Mom’s projects, she helped me cut out my Fat Quarter project for February – it’s going to be another Ohio Star quilt and will be very similar to the one I finished last year. My energy level is still very low so it was nice to go in and start sewing!

I’ve got 3 and a half blocks of the 12 I need for the quilt already sewn!

Other than that, my day was just more knitting and cuddling with Finn! He loves sitting up in the chair with me and lets me knit as long as I want while he naps.

If you’re playing along with our 2019 Precut Party, I’d love to know what you’re making this month with Fat Quarters!

  1. Thanks for the pattern, I think the blocks are a good size for bed quilts, which I generally make. I usually match 2 HST to make my hourglass block, no GO die for me.

  2. My FQ project is a kit purchased from Craftsy, 20 fq’s In pinks purples and green. All the blocks are done, just need to assemble.
I love the map print in the middle of your Ohio Stars.

  3. Love the Ohio Star block and I think I will use it for a Star Wars quilt for a grandson. I have the material just couldn’t decide on a pattern. This is it, thank you!

  4. I used up a fat quarter making some blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (a cat block and some other scrappy blocks). And I’ve pulled some fat quarters to make another Sew Together bag although I may not get that made this month.

  5. The map print is really nice in the star blocks. Oh my, Finn looks so soft and cuddly. I would be just giving him a kiss on his little head all the time!
