And another!

I really am somewhat obsessed right now … I finished up the teal Ripple afghan this morning, wove the ends in tonight and started another one. This time I am using one of the new Caron Big Cakes – colorway is Honey Glazed and I decided to try an (I) hook with this one. I’ll compare it to the green afghan where I used an (H) hook and decide which one I like best for this yarn.

While I’m still using the free Easy Ripple pattern from Ravelry, I am also looking at lots of other patterns. Maybe I’ll actually try one of them next time. I’ve gotten some ideas for scarves from the books too.

  1. I looked up a ripple tutorial recently after seeing all of your finished ones. I’m hoping to find time to start one. They look so nice.

  2. I have made an afghan as shown in the bottom picture, the third afghan from the left. It’s one of the prettiest ones I have ever made. I almost feel the need to stitch an afghan to use up yarn I have.

  3. I can understand obsession! My sister and I always say we don’t have hobbies, we have obsessions!

  4. OK Mary, you have me hooked. I haven’t crocheted in a while, but I downloaded the pattern, and you have inspired me! Now to see what yarn I have on hand. Thank you—I think :o) for showing us all your lovely afghans you have been making. Are you making these for the grandchildren? or donating them someplace? They are all so nice! You have a lovely even stitch on yours.

  5. That is going to be so pretty. I like the books too. Did you recently buy them? I have an old book with some ripple patterns but not many. I need to get that out. Need to get my baby one done first though!!! I am so anxious to use the Big Cakes yarn, I better get busy.

  6. Mary, what size is the Big Cake going to make? I have the instructions now from your link. Did you rewind the yarn into a ball? Thanks
