Stephanie announced that November’s precut is Charm Squares. I was kind of hoping for Fat Quarters since I started my Hunter’s Star already and am using fat quarters but as you can see, I do have a few Charm Squares ….

Of course, I’m behind for the first time since this is Jelly Roll month and I haven’t pieced a top but I’ve been quilting lots of Mom’s tops that came from my precut stash so I don’t feel too bad! Plus, she made the Bento Box top from one of my Jelly Rolls and there are plenty of strips leftover for a quick Rectangle quilt. I made two of them a couple years ago and they work up pretty quickly.

Are you playing along? What precut quilts have you been making this year?
The paper pieced Pineapple blocks I’ve been making use charm squares cut into half. But I’ve been doing some organizing and have found more charm packs than I thought I had.
I have a great book, Turnabout Patchwork, that has great patterns that will work with charm packs. Think one of them will be used for a Christmas lap quilt.
Love your hunters star. So amazed you get so much done. Enjoy.
There are a lot of free charm square patterns on the internet. I like working with precuts and I also have a lot of charm packs. You have so many nice patterns though you probably already have one in mind. I can’t play along, I would always be way behind.
