Off my needles

Another hat finished … this one I didn’t really follow the pattern … just a 2×2 rib cuff, stockinette body, and then the decreases. I’m still in search of the perfect beanie pattern and started another one tonight.

  • needle size = 7
  • yarn is Caron one pound – it’s an Aran weight yarn and while it’s not the softest, the hat feels fine on my head.

I said I wasn’t going to start another afghan this year but I’m itching to start one! If I finish another 2-3 hats and get my binding done I might start one that last week of the year!

  1. Boy, you are on a roll. Cute hat! I wish I could knit as fast as you, I would love to make hats for family. Maybe I will practice next year and next winter I might be able to make at least one. I like knitted hats better than crochet but like to crochet more than knit.

  2. There is something so comforting about an afghan. I picked up knitting again about 2 months ago. By my chair I have one sitting so when in the mood I can do a few rows. My plan had been to knit up the last 2 boxes of yarn I had sitting here. Now that I’ll be down to 3 skeins, I’m thinking I may buy again. Such a conundrum 😉

    Happy knitting!

  3. Hi Mary…try the Bankhead hat…it is on Revelry…it is my go to get when knitting for charity.
