I modified the 1, 2, 3 baby beanie (free pattern found on Ravelry) to make it a little larger.
Needle size – 8

I’m so impressed with all your hats, each one is just so pretty. The prettiest hat I ever saw was one crocheted for my 3 year old daughter. She had wispy thin hair, not too pretty. The hat fit snugly on the head except at the neck gathered in the back were banana curls. Beautiful gorgeous banana curls made from yarn. Everyone went nuts about seeing her wearing this hat. Unfortunately it disappeared years ago and I’ve never ever seen one like it again.
