On the mend

I’m finally starting to feel just a little better although I’ve spent the last two days just sleeping – I think it will take a while to feel back to normal but it’s a start!

I did manage to spend an hour on Sunday afternoon with Adam and the kids before going back up to bed. They loved their quilts! Mom and I made Rae’s and Mo’s quilts together but I made Caleb’s and she made Bree’s … in the end, all 4 of the kids got new quilts this Christmas.

Looking at this photo reminds me that I still have to take the tree and Christmas decorations down! That might delay my return to the sewing room by a day or two.

  1. The kids look very pleased with their new quilts. Glad you got to spend a little time with them. No worries about taking down the tree. It will wait until you feel ready. Mine is still up too.

  2. I heard a rumor that . .

It’s perfectly okay to plug the tree in and enjoy it through the cold winter months.

The neighbor’s might raise their eyebrows, but the extra lights will help with quilt binding.

well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

    Do feel better soonest!

  3. Gosh I sure hope you wake up tomorrow feeling 100%. My Grand DIL has this flu and it has lasted forever. Take it easy for as long as you need to.

  4. Good news that you are feeling even a little better! I came down with a cold before Christmas and woke up Christmas morning with no voice at all and 12 people coming for Christmas dinner. It took a good week before I was feeling better; being very tired seems to go along with this particular bug.

  5. Good to hear you are feeling better! The grandkids look very happy with their new quilts. Your tree is very pretty, just enjoy it until you are ready to take it down.
