Assembled

The Chisel Stars blocks have been assembled and a border applied and it is now a finished top. March’s precut was bundles and I used a fat quarter bundle from Bluprint for my quilt. I’m pleased with how this one turned out! You can find brief instructions, or maybe I should call them quilt notes, on my website at this link.

  1. Great look. It seems to be a very strong pattern and would make a great man’s quilt in less floral fabrics. you have inspired me.

  2. I really like this quilt! I impulsively ordered the chisel die, then had no idea what I was going to do with it….this is a great answer! Thanks, as always, for sharing your great ideas!

  3. This would be a good choice for a Quilt of Valor. Will have to order this die. Thank you for the inspiration!

  4. As usual, spectacular, Mary! I love your colors, tho normally they wouldn’t have been on my radar. But they look beautiful in your quilt! Shirley is right, this would make an excellent QOV. Note to self…

  5. I really like this quilt, Mary and the border just ties it all together. Am interested in how you chose your fabrics. Did you choose the border first and then use it to pick the 10 fat quarters? I was vaguely aware of this pattern, I think some people called it the binding tool star, but it will make up much quicker with the larger chisel die. Thanks for your blogging. The new house will be lovely.
