We’re in!

Yesterday was traumatic trying to get our funds transferred by the end of the day so we would be set for the closing this morning but it finally got done and the closing today was super easy!! The Big Canoe house is officially ours!

Keith has gone back to Chris’ house (an hour away) to pick up Finn and some of the stuff I had shipped to Chris that wouldn’t fit in the car. If you remember, we bought the house furnished and are just moving some personal items in on this trip … of course, the car was packed to capacity with my sewing stuff!

While Keith is gone, I’m starting to sort and unpack and strip all the beds. We bought new linens for our beds and I will wash and use the existing linens for the guest beds. (The house was used for some short-term rentals at one point and the linens are in good condition.) We’ve got a lot of work to do to get everything set up but we’ll be staying here for several weeks so there is plenty of time to get it done.
