I used to lay all my blocks out on the floor before I got a design wall but that was about 12 or 13 years ago so while I had laid out a few blocks the other day, I decided I’d use the bed for now (I do have a design wall ordered)! My Jelly Roll blocks are done and I’ll wait until Rae goes home to start assembling them.
Rae commented that her newest doll didn’t have her own quilt like the other two and since I had a pile of 2.5 inch squares cut from the ends of the jelly roll strips, I decided I’d piece her a doll quilt too. I don’t have backing and batting here so I told her I won’t have it finished until the summer.
Rae certainly has good taste in dolly quilts, Grandma! I love both of your quilts! That Jelly Roll is so bright & cheerful! I love it! I can’t wait to try one now! Yours is MUCH prettier than the one on the pattern

The jelly roll quilt is looking great, and the dolly quilt will be adorable in those fabrics. It’s so sweet that she wants each of her dolls to have a quilt.
Both of these quilts are bright and cheerful. I never had quilts or blankets for my doll, but I didn’t grow up in a quilting family. You are keeping busy during this quarantine time.
What cheerful fabrics and beautiful quilts. I bought some of that white Trolls fabric from Bluprint a short while ago thinking it would be perfect for quilts for Project Linus and for my granddaughters. It looks great as background on the jelly roll quilt you made.
