Triangles

Are you playing along with our Precut Party? I posted that the precut for May is triangles so I’ve been looking at my options and I’ve narrowed it down to two. Since I don’t have any precut triangles, I’ll cut my own with the GO. I’d really like to make this first one but it’s going to be a very busy 5 weeks at home before we head back here and this is a quilt I need my stash for. Option one is Twisted Pinwheels and I’d go scrappy with it like I did with this small doll quilt.

Option 2 is the Fox and Goose quilt I drafted a while back from a vintage quilt. It’s shown here in RWB but I’ll use a set of fat quarters if I decide to make this one so if I don’t finish it on time or before we head back to GA in June, I can just grab everything and bring it with me.

  1. I like them both! But like the one in your drawing app. the best. BTW, I can’t recall what drawing app. that is? Somehow I have lost my Adobe drawing app.

  2. I like them both but would love to see the one in the drawing made up. And since it would be more portable maybe it’s the best choice. Busy times for you!! I am thinking about buying a Baby Lock Jane, now called Accomplish. I do not need another machine but I like the simplicity of the straight stitch machines. I am going back and forth between that and the Juki 2010 tl. Since you own the Jane I was hoping you could let me know if you have had any issues or dislikes about it. Are they user friendly etc. Any tension problems? I would appreciate the input since I do not know anyone who has the Jane.

    • Over all I do like the Jane. I get good tension, I like the walking foot and while it’s been a while since I freemotion quilted on it, I didn’t have any problems. The throat space is nice. The one issue I have had is sometimes when the needle becomes unthreaded using the thread cutter, the thread jumps out from under on of the guides and if you don’t notice it, you get tension issues until you fix it. I’ve kind of trained myself to look at that spot in the thread path frequently.
