Quilted

I quilted my RWB Hourglass top today – it’s #6 of 10. Pantograph is Ebb and Flow which is an old favorite of mine so I bought the digital version to use with my Pantovision on the new machine. I think next time I’ll upsize it just a little.

I also decided on a HST pattern and started cutting triangles. It will be a modified version of this quilt of mine from 2013. The HSTs will be 4 inches finished and there will be one 4 inch framing border.

Finn has grooming tomorrow and since my mobile groomer moved away I’m having to take him to a new groomer. I’m not sure how long it will take but hopefully I can get some piecing done … I need to make some more of the Rainbow HeartStrings blocks and yellow is next on my list.

I’m still binding too and #3 should be finished tonight after Keith goes to bed. I need to get some photos of the finished ones!

  1. You are making amazing head way in your quilting. Love all the quilts. I need to make a face mask for a man can you tell me the measurements of your husband’s. The man I’m making it for us a little larger than your husband.
    Thanks.

  2. I am seriously loving your triangle quilt! One of the things I’ve been working on during the quarantine was getting some of my over flowing scrap bins sorted. I didn’t have any particular quilt in mind for the scraps but I do now! I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to copy your triangle quilt. The second I saw your quilt I knew what I was going to do with some of my scraps. Thanks Mary! You’ve given me so many good ideas over the years and I truly appreciate you ❤

  3. Thank you for all the wonderful quilt ideas and photos of your finished quilts. I also enjoy seeing photos of Finn. What breed is Finn? We are researching what barred of dog would be best for us (retired couple but also moderately active!)

  4. Really like that ebb and flow quilting. I notice it is in a 5 inch paper panto. What size did you use? Also like the quarter square triangles you did.

  5. Can I ask what color thread you used on the RWB hourglass? It looks really great going across all the different colors, and I can’t make up my mind if it’s a tan or off-white thread or something else. That is one of my problems on picking thread colors with quilts like this.
