Packing

No sewing today for me but we did make progress packing … I mentioned a while back that we were going to pull a uHaul trailer to carry stuff to GA but we decided to get a truck … Keith is challenged when it comes to maneuvering and backing a trailer plus I’m not sure I want to be in the same car when he’s pulling a trailer on winding mountain roads!

Keith said he hates moving … and we’re just moving little stuff this time. Believe it or not, we’re eventually moving into a house with 500 more square feet but we’ll have to downsize! The full move is several years away at the earliest but that doesn’t stop me from worrying where I’m going to put everything!

As we sat reading in the library during happy hour today I told Keith that is one room I’ll really miss!

  1. You spent so much time and effort to make the study just what you wanted. The taking a little at a time concept sounds perfect. For me emotionally that would be much better. By getting a truck I am guessing you are renting ond not buying. Good luck!

  2. Can’t say I at all understand 500sf requiring downsizing. Is it the shape/size of rooms? More hallway SF that is unusable space?

    Curious minds wanna know 😉

    Happy Sunday and happy packing!

  3. Your library does look like a very relaxing and peaceful room. But I am sure you will find the right spot in the new house too. And I don’t blame Keith not liking to move. We have moved a lot and I know you have too, and I am dreading our next move. But I am also anxious to move again to a smaller place with less yard. We do not have a big home now and a small yard but it is still a lot of upkeep for 2 people in their 70’s. But finding the perfect place has not been easy. Very little on the market right now. Something will come up sooner of later. Good luck with the packing!!

  4. The hard part is figuring out what you may want at each house. I would struggle with that kind of decision I’m sure. Moving is stressful, but being able to do some of this a little at a time might be the best way to make it happen.
