Pi

I told you that you’d probably get sick of the deer photos! Pi is a bit of a celebrity here in Big Canoe … a rare Piebald deer that seems to hang out near Lake Petit … which is our neighborhood! He dropped by this evening during happy hour with 6 of his friends!

I wasn’t able to get all 7 deer in one shot but I did manage to catch 5 of them together. They were good about posing and I was really careful not to spook them when I was snapping photos!

  2. I’ve never heard of Piebald deer. How fun that you are able to have one as a neighbor! The article was quite interesting. Thanks for sharing it.

  3. Thanks for showing the rest of us what a Piebald deer looks like. I’ve never seen one before. It’s interesting to look at him in the group photo, how different he looks.

  4. Beautiful!! I have never seen one like that before. I love seeing deer in the wild. My sister lived in Eastern Wa for a while and had a lot of deer come onto her property. It never got old watching them. They sometimes would walk right through the small town she lived in.

  5. How very beautiful!!! I think it’s a riot how they all stop and look right at you as if they are posing. I will never tire of your photos of your wildlife or your family! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Near my hometown, there is an old Army Post that has white deer. This year there are self-guided tours of the Post and the white deer. I have never seen ones like pictured here
