Assembled

Finally! Adam’s T-shirt top is assembled and it will go back to Tampa for quilting. So glad to have this top finally done. No pattern although I did look on Pinterest for inspiration on uneven block layouts. I drafted it in my TouchDraw app which helped me make sure that the sashing strips were offset and that each row came out to the same size! The finished top is about 70 x 92. Sashing strips are cut 2.5 inches.

  1. I haven’t attempted a t-shirt quilt yet, and I may never make one, but I can spot a great one – and this IS a great one! Well done!

  2. Hey Mary! I really like your t-shirt quilt! I am trying to get my courage up to do one. So, I would love to know what fabric did you use for the sashing? I really like it! Thanks so much! BTW, welcome back to Georgia! I am so glad you have a place here again!

  4. I love it…especially the fact that it is all Hard Rock. Adam is going to love it. I plan to make one for each of my grandkids for when they go to college. We will see how that goes. I already have been given bags of T-shirts. Yours is a great example for me. Many thanks for sharing all your projects with us…. A true inspiration. Stay healthy and safe.

  5. I’ve not heard of Touch Draw and cannot find the app. Mary, Great work! I’d love to try the app, can you provide the company that designed it?

  6. Your tee shirt quilt is really nice. I have made 4 of the traditional ones with sashing for memory quilts for a friend. I have one more to make, but it will be of odd sized pieces. I liked seeing how you charted it out to make sure the rows are the right length. That will help me a lot.

  7. Adam’s quilt turned out really nice! My hat is off to anyone who makes t-shirt quilts…I like looking at them but I have absolutely no desire to make one.
