Kits for Big Canoe

I already have more projects at Big Canoe than I could hope to finish in the next 2+ years but that doesn’t stop me from kitting more. We have 2 and a half weeks before we head back – the time is flying!

I’ve got quilt #6 loaded on the longarm and will probably start quilting it tonight and I’ve got another 12 blocks made for my HeartStrings quilt. I’m loving how it’s turning out and it’s so, so easy to sew with just 8 fabrics that I had to pull fabric for another one to take and leave at Big Canoe. I have no idea when I’ll get to it, but it will be ready when I am. I like to start these with a stripe and then pull coordinating fabrics.

I also packed up the fabric for my Friendship Rails. I hope to get that one pieced on my next trip.

And finally, I packed up all the Rainbow Strings blocks along with the sashing and cornerstone squares – I have enough squares for 3 quilts! I’m going to be busy there too!

  1. You are one very busy lady Mary! I had no doubt that you would reach your quilting/binding goal but you always get so much more than that done!

  2. I love the colors you chose for that next kit. Those blues and purples look so good together. I’ve been itching to make one of the Quick Strippee quilts that I kitted up earlier this summer. But I’ve made myself a promise not to pull it out until my Saturday Sampler top is together. Soon!!

  3. Have I told you lately how much inspiration I get from your site and how much I love each of your posts.
