#7 of 10 quilted is Adam’s Hard Rock T-shirt quilt. I’m VERY happy to have this one close to finished because it’s been hanging over my head for several years. (Adam is way more patient that Chris!) Panto is Apex and I’ve used gray thread on this one. When quilting an all over design on a top with sashing, I like to have the thread blend in and not show in the sashing when possible. It worked out well in this one.
I wasn’t sure I was going to finish this one today because my quilting was interrupted again by the afternoon storms but I took that time to trim all the HeartStrings blocks and that one is ready to assemble. I also worked on my crochet flower blanket … it’s about 1/3 done. I went back upstairs to quilt tonight after Keith went to bed and was able to get this one finished.
Congratulations on finishing Adam’s quilt! His patience paid off in a big way. You were in a good creative space and created an extraordinary quilt for him. It isn’t just a memory quilt or tshirt quilt. You made him a work of art that shares your love and capability with memories that are significant to him. You rock.
What a terrific quilt! Your arrangement is wonderful….so many times the wrong color is chosen for sashing or the arrangement is wrong. He will be SO excited to receive it!
