I’ve even got all the ends woven in on this one. I’m trying to get better about not setting projects aside to finish “later” — I still have a number of scarves that are on my UFO list just because they need ends woven in and/or blocking!
- Pattern – Easy Linen Stitch blanket – from a BluPrint kit and not available online but see below for a couple different tutorials on Linen Stitch crochet blankets.

- Yarn – Lion Brand Mandala Ombré – colorway is Joy
- My blanket size is 37 x 46 and took 4 skeins
Both of the tutorials below also have videos but it’s an easy stitch so you might not need to watch a video. I love this stitch, it goes fast, and the blanket has a great drape! I’ve used it to make 3 blankets now. Keep in mind I haven’t used either tutorial, I just did a Google search for Linen Stitch crochet blankets in case anyone wants to try one of their own!

I’ve also finished the binding on the doll quilt so I just have to soak/wash it to get my markings out and that will be the 3rd of 4 things on this week’s list to be finished and the magic loop hat won’t be far behind.
Mary, I haven’t crocheted in decades so I don’t know if this technique would work out for you. When making socks of a machine washable wool blend for my husband, I join the yarn using the Russian Technique as described in the link below. Then I don’t have to weave the ends in later. I also use two sets of double pointed knitting needles and work on two socks as I go along. By going so far on one sock, then doing the same on the second, I end up with complete pair when I reach the end. Your blog is very helpful. Thank you for teaching us as you go along.

I love how this turned out to and I’ll try it on my Ombre yarn. I only have 3 skeins so I’ll make mine a little smaller. I’m putting the border on my current one now so I’ll be ready for a new one soon. I also have yarn for a gingham blanket.

That came out really nice. It was fun to see the deer so close to the window! It looked like you could reach out and touch it! The quilt looked spectacular too! Take care and stay safe. Wasn’t surprise that Trump has Covid 19., But don’t wish that on anyone!
Pink and grey look so good together. And I love the texture of that stitch. I’m wondering where I put my crochet hooks because I’m tempted to try it again.
