Another Ripple

I started to use this yarn for another project but I didn’t like the drape. It’s not as soft as some I use but I think it feels even less soft coming right after the Mandala Ombré yarn which was super soft. I’ve only got two skeins so I don’t know how long it’s going to end up but I chained 130 to start it.

  1. The color changes in this yarn make it look so different from previous ripple afghans. Lots of texture! Crochet and read while you heal up that foot.

  2. Someone will love it. The softness of new yarns is so much better than the early 70s and people loved the things made then. I still have an afghan made by my mother in law and love it but it is not soft.

  3. I feel the same way about that yarn. As soon as I finish the blanket I started with it (on our next car trip) I’ll not use it again. Maybe it will be better after washing.

  4. It is pretty with the colorways’ changes; i think after it gets washed it will soften up just enough–at least that’s what i found in my previous knitting days…I still miss knitting…nice pattern
