Quilted

The quilting marathon has begun – let’s see how many I can finish before the end of December! This is my first PLUS 3 top and it’s freehand quilted with flowers I learned from the Pajama Quilter DVD which isn’t available any longer unfortunately. I can’t remember if Dawn calls these wonky or funky or something else but either would apply in this case.

I pieced one of my Off Center 4 patch backings for it. Perfect for a quick and interesting back. I did get it trimmed but the binding isn’t on it yet. I had a bit of a late start with the errands I had to run.

Someone asked me what the goal is for the number to be quilted and I answered that I’m afraid to set a goal because it might be too low. I really, really want to get as many finished as I can and I guess I’m aiming for 15ish. I’m going to focus on my personal quilts because the goal is to keep my UFO number low going into 2021.

  1. You do such a great job on the hand guided quilting. I wish I thought mine looked even half as good. I am hoping you get 15 quilts quilted this month. Hum, one every other day. I envy that too… I have run through a lot of wide backs I’ve purchased and I don’t really buy more than 1 or 2 yards at a time which is why I usually succumb to buying wide backs planned for several smaller quilts.

  2. The quilt and quilting is lovely, I need to set a goal and get a pile of quilts quilted and bound and out of my house so I came feel good about starting more, and get more practice and hopefully better at quilting as well.

  3. Such a cute quilting pattern and it is perfect for that quilt. I can see some little girl loving that, or anyone for that matter.
