  1. Which one are you in the family photo, Mary? Sorry for your loss. My Dad passed from heart trouble at the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020).

  2. The family photo sure made me smile. He must have been very proud of all of you. Time flies too fast. My dad passed 30 years ago in October. Doesn’t seem possible that it’s been so long.

  3. I’ve missed my dad every day of the last 43 years. It doesn’t hurt anymore, but I can’t help wishing he’d been around to meet all the rest of his grandchildrend, and to see all the new technology since 1978.

  4. Lovely family photos. The birthdays and anniversaries still are remembered even after losing a loved one. January is always a hard month for me with both parents and many relatives making it through the holidays before passing away. Cherish the memories.
I was also one of 6 children. We only have a few family group photos left from those busy early years. As someone else asked, which one are you?
Your post was a sad but sweet one.

  5. Love the family pictures! You had a large family you grew up in! My family had 4 children, of which I was the eldest. I lost my mother when I was 23 – she was 40. It was the first funeral I had to plan, not something a 23 year old should have to do, but my father was useless. Still think about her often, and wish she could have been alive to see her grand children grow up.

  6. Love your family pictures. No matter how much time has passed, we still miss our love ones. My dad died in January of 1972 when I was ten. I am the youngest of 7 children. My dad so wanted grandchildren, and 10 months after he died, the first one was born. (23 grand children and almost 50 great-grand children)

  7. What a nice family picture. Your dad was very handsome, Tomorrow my mother-in-law would have been 101. On the 14th my dad would have been 100.
