Quilted

My brown Sharon Inspired Heartstrings top is quilted. I thought the texture of the quilting design would show up better but it didn’t. This is #9 quilted for December and binding #7 was finished last night. I’ve got two more bindings ready to hand stitch down.

However it does show up on the back! Pantograph is Square Spiral.

Terminix was back out today. He closed up some small potential entry points and said he did see evidence of rodents in the attic. Traps are set and he’ll be back on Friday. No further mouse activity in the kitchen so hopefully the two we caught are all that there were down there. Such a hassle!

  1. All of your recent quilts look fabulous! I’m so terribly slow at hand stitching binding, so your progress so far this month is impressive to me. I don’t like having mice in the house. I hope your furry invaders have all been caught.

  2. Hi Mary! What fabulous texture from that quilting design. I love the larger quilting designs because it keeps the quilt nice and squishy. I hope this is it for the mice. How annoying. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. That’s one of Wayne’s favorite pantographs. Looks great Mary!

  4. What a gorgeous texture that quilting made. The colors are masculine but relaxing rather than “in-your-face” masculine. Wonderful quilt.

We had to have some opening sealed a couple of years ago to keep bats out of our garage attic storage area. It seems to have solved the problem. Hope your mouse problem is gone.

  5. I think the texture shows great, not exactly like the back but certainly good enough. Your mice issue reminds me of this summer when the house painter was power washing our house. He knew something dropped and it was a bat. That bat stayed in the eaves all fall, it could still be there. I’m sure he left at night to eat but he was sleeping all day long. I wasn’t happy because he could carry rabies.

  6. I love Florida but so do pests. I hope it gets straightened out. My hearing made me hear mice in the attic a few years ago. The guy said there was no way I could but I did and they found them closed entry ways and now I am happy to say they are gone. I wish you quick and complete extermination!

  7. Years ago I lived in a rental house. At some point the owner had switched the stove from gas to electric and apparently didn’t close up a hole on the outside of the house. We got mice, of course. Once I was on the phone in the kitchen and a mouse poked its head up from the eye of a burner. We set up mouse traps them and eventually caught 8. I hope it’s the last time I have to deal with mice.
