Happy New Year

I was a bit surprised that there were so many events around town to bring in the new year but we’re still staying away from crowds and all social events. We did walk down to the bay a little before midnight to watch fireworks in the distance and I caught some in the photo but they were going on all along the coast line.

Wishing you all a healthy, happy 2021!

When we came back to the house, Keith went up to bed and I started my tumbler quilt. I’m using a set of fat quarters and my 6 inch tumbler die from Accuquilt. I might replace those darker blue tumblers tomorrow if I can find something that works in my stash or if not, I’ll redistribute them better.

Thank you for all you do for the stitching community. I have made many of your quilts and crocheted several lap blankets using your inspiration and instructions!!!
I am looking forward to this new year to continue following you and your wonderful, loving family.

  2. Wishing you ,Keith and of course Finn, the boys and their Families a Happy Healthy New Year! You were very busy this year and wrapped many people in warm hugs You are an inspiration to all of us! sending hugs to all of you!

  3. Happy new year! Normally I trust you on anything quilt involved but you will have show me how a redistribution will work with the blues. I would pull them out and find something some where. Looking forward to your solution!

  4. We watched some fireworks last night too. One of our neighbors had a pretty spectacular display and we could see them from a dining room window without having to go outside in the snow even. Happy New Year!! I like those dark blue tumblers, but you may find something even better.

  5. Those darker blues add a spark, imho. You could move them around a little before you pull them. I believe that each quilt speaks to somebody, but, of course it needs to speak to you first.

  6. I really like how you put the neutral strips across the tumbler quilt. I liked the framed squares quilt too. You get so much accomplished. Happy New Year to you and your family.
