It was such a pretty day – temps in the mid 40s and the sun was shining – that I decided to hike again! There’s a fair amount of rain in the forecast for next week so I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather while I can.
Those of you that have followed me for a number of years may recognize this trail I’ve been on this week. When we had our condo, I could walk out our door and hike 5 miles to the waterfall and back. It’s honestly the only thing that I miss about the condo. At the house, it’s a short drive, maybe 3/4 of a mile to the trail but there’s no way to walk it (curvy mountain roads with no sidewalks or shoulder) and since I pick up the trail in a different spot, it’s just a 4.3 mile hike. Keith prefers a different trail – it’s paved and wider – but for me nothing beats walking from the lake along the creek to the waterfall!
When I got back from my hike, I finished up the pinwheel blocks. There’s 35 of them and they’ll go back home with me for “twisting”. I can’t believe that I got these blocks made and the 3 sets of blocks assembled all in week one. I brought a bin of scraps and I think I’ll work with those next week along with making some masks.

Such a beautiful area to hike/walk. Great job on finishing the three block sets.

Good for you for getting so many hikes in! I’m being rather uninspired to exercise these days… Too cold? Or just lazy?
