Sunday to Sunday

I feel pretty happy with my week’s work! Starting last Sunday through this Sunday, I accomplished quite a bit. I even got in 2 hikes and out on the lake in my kayak! Full disclosure, the Shell stitch blanket was about 1/3 complete and the log cabin blocks were made but getting 6 tops plus a doll quilt assembled and finishing up the blanket makes me happy.

We have two days before we head home and I’ll be closing down the sewing room, running errands, doing laundry, packing, starting a new blanket, and maybe even getting one last hike in. I won’t be sewing.

  1. Wow, you put us all to shame, Mary! I aspire to accomplish half as much as you do when I retire! Do you have a count of how many blankets and quilts you have made? Donated? You are very inspiring! Good luck with the “no buy”. I feel that way about fabric. I have so much, it will be years before I can use it up. Sometimes, though, (like yesterday…lol) I just need to buy a few new fat quarters to inspire me to keep working on something…trying to get to the finish line. Do you listen to music or books or something while you sew?

  2. Wow! Loved hearing about your busy week. I love how you were able to balance all of your sewing etc with hikes and kayaking. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need that to do that to compensate for all the sitting that comes along with sewing. Love all your projects!

  3. Wow, only in my dreams could I accomplish that much in a week, or a month, or probably a year. Amazing!!

  4. Mary, what is the name of the quilt far right bottom? I have a lot of Mickey Mouse fabric and thought this might be a quick pattern.

  5. I was so exhausted after reading everything you accomplished this week that I had to lay down and take a nap. The quilts are great but, the colors of the afghan are divine. Have a safe trip home.
