Happy 4th

We’re spending most of the weekend around here working but we got out this afternoon for a little bit – Keith for a hike and I spent an hour and a half on the lake! There were a bunch of people out on pontoon boats but they were mostly congregated in the center of the lake where swimming is allowed and there were plenty of quiet coves for me to paddle in.

The geese were looking for a quiet spot to paddle around in too.

Keith’s off tomorrow so we’re going to take a drive and have lunch out. There are several small towns around here that we like to visit. I did manage to finish the heart blocks today so those are ready to be assembled this week and I’ll start quilting too.

  1. Looks like a lovely day to spend on the lake Mary. A nice little break from the unpacking. Have a lovely day tomorrow with your hubby.

  2. Sounds like a great day. Our day was quiet until it got dark and the guy next door and the guy on the corner decided to show their manliness by by setting off illegal fireworks. I hate them but since the indoor cat died I can more easily ignore it.

  3. Mary… thank you for the pictures. Love the water and the geese. I got my order from AccuQuilt with the hearts and will soon be making heart blocks. Thanks for the ideas for the heart quilt.
