Quilted

Yes, another Quick Strippie was loaded and quilted today – this one with a cute dog print. I figured out my issues from yesterday and now I’m all set to move on to quilting other tops. I pieced a back for a RWB top and will try to get that one loaded tomorrow but I’ve got company coming on Friday so it might be next week before it gets quilted.

In addition to loading and quilting this one, I trimmed it and got the binding on two, ready to hand stitch down. The first one is already bound and I’ll work on #2 tonight after the game. Finn loves being downstairs with me. I tried to get him to come up today when I was finished working and he kept staring at me and then at the chair! I also managed to get the downstairs family room ready for company. I didn’t take a photo today but I have a daybed and trundle in that room where the kids will sleep. I also have 2 guest rooms at the house here, both with king size beds so we’re looking forward to hosting lots of visitors.

We went to the clubhouse again for dinner. Wednesday might just become our night out here. We were going to have a drink outside by the lake before dinner but it started raining just as we were leaving. Not a problem, we ate dinner on covered veranda.

  1. Glad your quilting machine is working ok now and your getting some finishes off the list.
England won their match against Denmark tonight 2-1 and playing Italy in the finals on Sunday (the European Championship). Such a big win for us tonight and winning the cup on Sunday would be our 1st big win since 1966 when we won the FIFA World Cup. Can’t you tell I’m happy tonight haha 🙂 (keeping fingers crossed)

  2. Mary, thank you very much for the Quick Strippie pattern. We make Prayer Quilts with St Francis church in Mocksville, NC. You don’t know how many times, over the years, we have used that pattern.
    You are appreciated.

  3. Thanks for the above comment. I was interested in the Quick Strippie quilt and after reading the comment, realized there might be a link. Thank you, Mary, for providing the free patterns. So enjoy your blog.

  4. Life is good again and the longer is rocking along. Hope the company realizes the sacrifices you are making. Since you talked about kids I really want to see your family room setup. Enjoy your guests and spend some time at the club just to enjoy the view.

  5. I could get used to a weekly dinner looking at that view! Enjoy those guests!! I’ll have 3 grandkids here by tomorrow night and still need to clean up the second guest bedroom. There are piles of quilts in there.

  6. Your Strippie quilt never disappoints! As others have commented, I also love using this pattern. Love the quilting you did on this one… brings it gently to life.
And you hockey team did not disappoint! Go Lightnings!!! I thought of you when I saw that they had won.
