Storms

I got started on quilting #4 of 10 this morning. My first since the move using Pantovision. For those of you that don’t know, Pantovision is a tablet hooked up to the machine to allow you to quilt digital pantographs from the front. You still have to do the quilting – it is not a computerized machine but I love the ability to download pantographs with no waiting for one to come in the mail and to resize them to suit my needs for the quilt that I’m working on. It’s also easier to store and pull up different patterns than using paper patterns!

The quilting is going well and I’ve finished 3/4 of it BUT I had to stop. I debated playing chicken but the machine is too valuable to risk damage during a storm – I am hearing the distant thunder so I’ll pause for now and hope it passes in time for me to finish up before the girls come later this afternoon. Can you see that push pin about to be surrounded?

  1. I’m curious how the digital panto works. Are you following the dot on the screen? I was never very good with following the light on paper. I’m happy I have a computer driven long arm.
