When I finished the blanket the other night, I looked for my next project. Since we’re getting ready to travel I decided to cast on a shawl/scarf. I’ve made this Yowza shawl 11 times through the years. It’s an easy crescent shaped, garter stitch shawl. Sometimes I make it according to the pattern with a ruffle and sometimes I adapt the pattern and put a ribbed edging on it.

With the blue yarn I’m using for this one, I think the ribbed edging will work best.
I’m making some progress tonight watching the tour … note my little shadow is not with me … I took him for boarding this afternoon since we’re leaving very early in the morning.

After dropping Finn off, we met Chris and Becky for dinner and picked up Rae who’s joining us on our weekend trip to Virginia.
This shawl looks really pretty but I read the pattern and it says you need to weigh it. Why? Have fun on your vacation with Rae and Keith. Going to visit your Mama?
Your knitting is so pretty !
I adore the picture of you and Rae!
Safe travels!!
Happy knitting and safe travels, Mary!
