We’re sewing ….

My brother left yesterday and we got our sewing space set up. Keith is going to work downstairs while Mom is here and we’re taking over his office

Mom worked on her sailboat quilt. She pieced the blocks at home and we laid them out here.

Before I knew it, she had her top together!

While Mom was working on her Sailboats, I started a new quilt too. (See the next post).

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to be sewing with Mom again!

  1. Isn’t it just the best? Especially after all this time. While I can’t sew with my mother, my dear friend spent 3 weeks with me in the spring, and it was heaven. We sewed all day every day, except when we shopped. I’ve missed that so much.

  2. You are so lucky to still have your mom in your life! Not to mention that you both love to sew and be creative…I am envious! My mother has been gone for 32 years and I miss her still.

I have written before and really look forward to your emails ☺ It is fun to hear about what you are working on every day.

    Enjoy your Friday,

  3. You are so lucky to have that special time with your Mom. Keith was a doll to give up his office for the two of you. I wish my daughter was interested in sewing, she just likes the quilts.

  4. Hi Mom! —Sewing with your Mom is the BEST! She does such wonderful quilts. It’s always fun when you two can get together. My sister was with me for awhile during the worst of the Covid. We had a great time sewing. . She has since gone back to her home. I sure miss her. Love how you have your machines set up. Darling sail boat quilt! Finn looks happy too!

  5. Looks like you are enjoying your time with your Mother! Would you mind sharing information about the table your Mom is using to sew on. Is it portable? Thanks,

  6. I love seeing you sewing together with your Mother! And her sailboat quilt is so cute. As I have said before, she is amazing!! I bet she is happy sewing on the Bernina too!

  7. We are both lucky to still have our Mom’s in our lives. I love that Mom lives near me now and we can go to the quilt club sewing weekends together. Have a great time!

  8. Looks like you are both having just so much fun and productive too. I wish I was there. I did have a 2 daytime Mystery quilt retreat with Quilt Friends at Western Hills Methodist Church and it was great fun. Love seeing what you are doing and your work set up. Thank you for sharing.
Love seeing you 2 working together.
