This little doll quilt is quilt #6 of 21 (binding on #7 is in progress).
I just couldn’t waste the tumblers leftover from this quilt that I finished last year. Which makes this a UFO finish too – also #6 for the year. I try to complete at least 12 UFOs each year but I won’t make that number this year. In part because my UFO number was lower than it has been in years and in part because some of the tops on the list are being saved for the future and I’m not ready to quilt them yet. I should get 2 or 3 of them done by the end of the year but we’ll see how it goes.
In addition to binding this one on Saturday, I trimmed two quilts, got the binding machine stitched on one and ready to hand sew down tomorrow. The other one is Mom’s and she’ll bind it. I pieced a small project for our family gift exchange that is due in mid November, and I started hat #7.
Do you just give these to your granddaughters or donate someplace? I have been using up scraps and ending up what I consider doll quilts. All my great nieces are too small or beyond dolls.
Adorable little dolly quilt–love those Fall colors…hugs, Julierose
Love your tumbler quilts. Never have made one but it’s on my list. Been catching up on your blog love your hats, after gone through chemo a hat was something that meant a lot. Yours are very pretty.
Beautiful quilt finishes, Mary! I’m always a fan of Fall colors.
