5 years ago today we met Finn! My brother was visiting and the night before I’d showed him a website for a local Bichon breeder that I’d been visiting periodically after Chesty died. We had no intention of getting another dog until our travel schedules calmed down a bit but the minute we saw Finn, I knew he was the one. Finn is a Havanese/Bichon mix and as you know … he didn’t stay this dark for long! I didn’t realize that his coat would become so much lighter but the breeder did warn us it could happen.
I think he was a great choice and so very different that he doesn’t have to replace Chesty he can just be Finn.
It’s amazing how much dogs change.
So cute! We have always had Shih Tzu’s and they change color a lot too, We have a black one now but she is lightening up. I was hoping she would stay really black but I guess not. Still a cutie though and we love her. I think our dogs are lucky little critters.

I had forgotten how tiny he was as a puppy. And so cute! Of course he’s still a cutey!!
