Bound

I love this quilt so much that if I didn’t already have more quilts than I can use, I’d keep it for myself but since I do … it will be donated.

This is the 3rd time I’ve made this 16 patch and pinwheel quilt and it’s my favorite one of the three. First I made it with green scraps …

Then completely scrappy …

And now with browns and blues and even the background is scrappy. If I ever make it again, it will be with 2 colors plus a background like this one.

Brief instructions are available on my website at this link.

  1. I’m not crazy for browns but they go so well with the creams & teals – what a great result.

BTW – when you mentioned Wordle recently, I thought I’d give it a try and I love playing it every day – so thanks for that – wish it was twice a day haha 🙂

  2. I love all of these quilts and I think I’ll make one soon. A relative wants to learn to quilt and it think this would be a great pattern.

  3. Thanks, Mary, I love the combination of the two blocks. Definitely going on my to-do list!!

  4. The tans as a background do look great with blue and brown. I’m always looking for ideas to use my reproduction stash.

  5. I too really love all three Mary but my favorite is the green one. I have lots of green and I believe I am going to get this one started. Thank you for the instructions.

  6. All of those are very pretty!! I think the blue and brown is my favorite though. I think it is amazing how putting together two different blocks can have such an amazing look. Very cool pattern!!

  7. All are nice but I think I like the green one the best. I usually go scrappy with my quilts but like your choice for both the two color quilts.

  8. All 3 are gorgeous, but must admit the totally scrappy one and the blues/browns really grab my eye. Now I’m going to have to make 1 or 2….. : )
