As I mentioned, Stephanie pulled strings out of the hat for our July Challenge so I’ve been working on these HeartStrings blocks and the top is now done.
Tomorrow I’ll get back to quilting – I want to get an additional 6+ tops quilted before the end of July but I’ll also be working on some more string blocks this month.
I love the way the consistent grey strip brings the quilt together. Lovely to see.
I commented the other day about the colourful 4 strips around the centre block – I didn’t notice the grey one as well, which Laura mentioned – looks good as well 🙂
I like your gray in the middle string, it frames it nicely. I pulled out some strings today, maybe this week I’ll start on them.
It’s so fun to make string quilts! I have some pulled aside some strings to make a few quilts, too!
This is so pretty, Mary. And inspiring, too. I’ll use sandwich papers when I get one started.
Nice job! I really like this quilt top with the gray frames
I love all of your string quilts. This one is beautiful. The gray adds consistency but the bright really draws my eye. So much going on.
Ohhh I love it! and the grey centers! perfect color!!!
The grey center string looks so good. Great choice! Isn’t it fun to have a top assembled and ready for the next step? I have a couple of block sets getting close to that stage.
Nice work, Mary! Best of luck on those SIX quilt tops you want to make before the end of July (along with your other quilting goals.)
