Update

It’s been a real struggle but things are looking up. I was admitted to the hospital for assessment and pain management yesterday. The causes of the back/sciatica pain have been diagnosed and treatment has begun. With any luck they’ll let me go home today. Hopefully, continued treatment will get me back to normal and my quilting soon!

Thank you all for your prayers and messages of concern. They have been a great comfort to me.

  6. I am glad you are getting appropriate treatment for your back issues. I have back issues and know how quickly these problems can incapacitate you. Travel can exacerbate it and poor medical treatment or dismissal of the severity can be frustrating. No one wants to be in the hospital but I know you will do what is needed to get back to what you love. We appreciate the updates.

  13. Hi Mary,
Missed seeing your posts for a couple of days due to family issues. How miserable for you to have to have been stricken down with back pain and to miss your trip to Maine. Glad to hear that the problem has been diagnosed and you are on the mend. There is nothing worse than back pain. Get well soon.
