A small finish

I hand stitched the binding down on the Blue Flannel Squares quilt today. The Lightning are playing again tonight so I’ll be knitting not binding but plan to do some more binding tomorrow. I need to catch up!

Inspired by Stephanie, this is the 2nd simple squares quilt made of leftover flannel backing pieces. Many of the leftovers are to big to toss and smaller than I want to piece into scrappy backs so cutting these 5.5 inch squares was a good solution…. And the bin is still full so there will be more of these.

As you can see in the photo, we still have lots of green leaves. I love how long our fall season lasts here in the North Georgia mountains. We’ve got lovely patches of color now but the peak of our season is usually the first week of November.

  1. It turned out really cute and I like the binding fabric. We are getting lots of fall colored trees here.
