Thursday, Friday, Saturday

My surgery was done on Thursday and I didn’t feel half bad … they used a local anesthetic that made me think the pain wasn’t going to be as bad as I expected…

I was discharged and got home late afternoon on Friday and went straight to bed to rest. Finn was glad to have me home!

The pain is worse today and I have a sore throat and some congestion but I’m going to sit up and knit a while … and later today I’ll do a COVID test just to make sure I didn’t catch a bug 🐜 in the hospital. The sore throat could certainly be from being intubated.

  1. Happy to hear all went well. Be patient with yourself during recovery period. There is no rush as you know. Finn looks as if he might be happy to be your recovery companion.

  2. Glad to hear your surgery went well and you are back home, Mary. Please be gracious and patient with yourself while recovering. Glad you have Finn and your husband to help take care of you.

  3. Good to know your surgery went well and you are now safely back home, with Finn to keep you company – wishing you a quick recovery 🙂

  4. So glad to hear that you are home. I hope that Nurse Finn looks after you well. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

  5. Glad the surgery went well and hopefully the bug is very benign a mere bump in the road. Please allow Keith to take care of you. Finn can just show how much he loves you. Overall it sounds like a greatvrecovery plan.

  6. I’m glad your surgery is over and that it went well. Rest and get stronger each day. Little Finn has a smile on his face to have Mama back with him.

  7. So many of us waiting to hear from you. Your smiling face was wonderful for all of us to see!
We’ll keep praying for your recovery to be speedy!

  8. Glad your surgery went well, hooray! Hopefully you will quickly recover from your sore throat and congestion. Take care and take it easy!

  9. Glad all went well and praying your sore throat is from the surgery. You sure don’t need covid at this point. Give yourself some grace and let your husband take care of you.

  10. I’ve been thinking about you, so it’s good to hear you are home and hopefully well on the road to recovery. And hopefully no Covid or any other bugs picked up.

  11. So good to see you. Be gentle to yourself. I wish you steady healing. Finn and Keith must be happy you are home.

  12. I had you in my thoughts and prayers this week. Good news that your surgery is over. You will be feeling better in no time at all. Take it easy and listen to your body. When you need to rest, rest.

  13. I am glad the surgery is behind you and there is no COVID and you are on the road to recovery.
    You are in my prayers.

  14. Mary so glad your surgery is behind you. Hope you Covid test is okay. Hope you have lots of ice chips around. Aren’t doggies most wonderful!. All the very best. Carolyn

  15. Rest, relax, knit, read (with your eyes or ears), and let yourself be taken care of. Sending warm wishes your way.

  16. So good to hear that you are home and that your surgery went well. I don’t know know if I’d want to go with local anesthetic just because I’m rather chicken. I’d prefer not to know what was going on around me! (Head in the sand philosophy.) Stay healthy and get lots of rest!
