A day with my girls

Mo and I spent most of the day together, making a few stops on the way home (Joann’s to get stuffing for our bears, lunch, Barnes and Nobles). We had a great visit with her!

We also stopped at the sewing machine store and bought me an early birthday present. Mo struggled a bit with the idea of me buying my own present from Pop but got into the spirit of it and sang happy birthday to me in the store. My actual birthday is a month away but I don’t get to this area of Marietta often.

And then we spent the evening watching Rae play softball. They won their first game and lost the 2nd by one run … meaning they came in 2nd for the season but Rae pitched and played great. We were really proud of her.

  1. Congratulations on the new sewing machine and happy early birthday! What model Baby Lock is it? It looks wonderful. You will have to tell us all about it. So glad you were able to spend quality time with Mo.

  2. Ooh! Such a fun time to spend with the girls!!! What model of BabyLock did you purchase? I’m a BabyLock user and enjoy mine. I think it’s fabulous that you bought yourself a birthday present a little early. I am sure you will enjoy using it – you are a very productive sewist!

  3. What a joy it is, to be able to spend time with your grand-daughters! Passing on your love of sewing will be a special memory for Mo!

  4. A new sewing machine is always wonderful. I bought myself a vintage Bernina 930 Record last year and sewed on it all winter. I imagine you will continue your marathon sewing on this BabyLock. Your granddaughters are so cute.

  5. My kind of day! The smiles certainly tell you how much those girls love spending time with you.

  6. So happy you could be there to watch Rae play. It was also wonderful for Mo to celebrate your birthday alone with you. That is really special time.
