So now, I’m doing the bear faces before sewing them together … funny but these eyes didn’t look so big when I had the seam allowances before sewing him together.

I knew I had a circle template somewhere but I haven’t used it in years. Luckily, I went to the right bin on the first try. These eyes look like they’re a better size don’t they?

I had to make another one just to check! This one still needs stuffing but at least I think I’ve found the right size eyes

And of course the bears are going to need quilts! I got the leftover blocks assembled.

I’m going to big stitch hand quilt this one … and I think it needs a brown bear!
Somewhere out there, there is going to be someone that needs some love and is going to embrace these little bears. So precious and you’re doing a really nice job with them : )

Yes, the “new eyes” are juuuuust right. And of course the bears all need quilts & visa versa!
The dragon fly bear is adorable. A friend made a critter as a baby gift for one of my kids, square pillow type thing, maybe upholstery fabric? Very improv. It was named Orange Man and went everywhere with us for years, ultimately had to be re-stitched 1/2 inch smaller as the fabric shredded. Very Velveteen Rabbit, Orange man was definitely real. I foresee a similar fate for your bears.

I see big smiles, lots of hugs, and giggles for these lucky bears.
The small eyes are perfect and I love the idea of a quilt for the bear!
Those bears are so cute, big eyes or small.
Looking good! The bears are adorable.
Perfect size eyes, Mary! It’s all a process, and a fun one at that. What size do you make your quilts? I guess it really doesn’t matter as long as it covers the bear – whatever size it is. Happy Mother’s Day to you. Enjoy the weekend. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Looks great!
