We’ve got a long day of travel ahead but I’m looking forward to getting to Copenhagen tomorrow. Funny but the hotel we’re staying at is the one I stayed at on my very first trip years ago.

What a wonderful euphemism–filles de joie . Hitched through Denmark in the 60’s on the way to Sweden but liked it so much we overstayed our vacation time and had to tell work a few white lies about that. I envy you–have a great time.

I’m 100% Danish and been to Denmark twice (1989 & 2007) but never to Copenhagen. My Mother and I got to see where her parents grew up and married in 1922 before coming to USA to make a new life. Mother got to meet all her cousins (over 35) for the first time.
