I have way too much to do this week to start a new quilt but Stephanie pulled “Shapes” out of the hat for our September challenge and I decided I’d make another version of this one.

I started cutting and piecing the triangles in a square and the HSTs and I don’t expect to get it assemble before we leave next weekend but it will give me something to work on in between packing.

But before I let myself start piecing, I got a binding on and ready to hand stitch tonight after Keith and Finn go to bed AND I packed up my yarn bin for Maine. I’m kind of worried I’ll run out but a) I know it’s crazy to think I’ll use all this yarn while I’m there and b) I know I can buy yarn in Maine if I need it.

Love the blues in the first quilt 🙂
That is a stunning pattern. Yes one can always buy more yarn… good thinking.
LOL, that’s a lot of yarn!
Love your fabric selection for the new quilt. You are making me want to make that one too.
Absolutely love this! Yarn happens when needed so don’t worry. Please have a great time in Maine.
Love this quilt and it looks like it would be a great one to use for charity! I would be grateful if you would share some basic information about the quilt. What is the finished size? What size are the blocks? Would the Tri-Recs ruler work work for the blocks with 3 pieces? Thanks so much.
What size are the blocks I. shapes?
Hi Mary! Yup, there’s always more yarn to buy – never fear. I love the fabrics you chose for your new project. Enjoy Maine! I know you will. Safe travels. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
love the log cabin under your bin
That looks like a lot of yarn… And how long will you be in Maine?
