The Houndstooth blanket was the last thing on my list to be done before we head out and now it’s finished.
It’s technically not a “true” houndstooth stitch because I crocheted two rows before switching colors and carried my yarn up the side but I wasn’t going to weave in all those ends!
A border round of single crochet was sufficient to “cover” up the carried yarn but I thought the addition of a shell stitch border would be nice too. I’m happy with how this one turned out and I think it makes a cute donation blanket.

Very pretty, Mary. Have a good trip.

That is a beautiful blanket, Mary. I love the colors and the shell edging is perfect!
I hope you have an easy, safe drive with NO rain.
I like this blanket a great deal and I’m wondering what it would look like with a gray/black and white yarn. This will be warming on a cool night.
Love the pattern, colours and the way you finished off the edging. Enjoy your time away – safe travels 🙂
I love the colors and striping in this one! Well done Mary! Have a safe trip!
The edge finish was a great idea. Very pretty! Safe travels north!
