Most of this one was knit last night listening to the Lightning game – it’s just preseason but they WON!
Pattern is Sandoval Hat and it’s found free on Ravelry at this link. It’s one I frequently use to finish up a skein and it’s made from the leftover yarn from the hat I posted yesterday.
Hi Mary. When you knit your Sandoval hat, do you use the size 9 needles and cast on 80 like the pattern calls for, or do you go down in needle size? If you go down, do you still cast on 80? I’m using Lion Brand Heartland yarn. I’m finding that size 9 creates an airier fabric than I’d like. The stitches in the purple hat in this picture look tighter than a size 9 needle would create.
