We’re doing it

Deposit has been made with the contractor and we chose shower and floor tile and countertops today. Next up, fixtures. I know it’s a bit neutral but that’s what I like. There will be a darker taupe on the walls and a lighter countertop.

It’s funny … I told Keith we should just use the same materials for both bathrooms but he wanted to look at something different … it took him about 10 minutes to decide the above choices would work great in BOTH bathrooms 🙂

  1. Love your choices. You can add color with towels, art work and accessories. Easy to change when you tire of it. You’ll love it when it’s finished.

  2. We’ve recently redone both of our bathrooms and we also chose neutral tile. The second bathroom is similar but different to the master bath. Have fun choosing fixtures! The choices are overwhelming.

  3. What you chose also appeals to me – its very neutral. You can change towels, rugs, pictures, etc. But by choosing neutrals for the flooring and countertop those won’t go ‘out of style’. From looking at pictures you’ve posted, it looks like your home probably has the same basic colors and that’s what makes a home feel larger and cohesive. Good choices!

  4. Very neutral. I did something similar a couple of years ago, but because I need some color(my towels are white) I got some beautiful colorful tiles for the niche in the shower. Just enough.
Enjoy your project, it’s worth the wait.

  5. I love your choices, I’d pick the same. When you pick your toilet, pick one that is higher from the ground. As you grow older you will appreciate it.

  6. Yep, got a good chuckle out of Keith’s change of mind! Neutrals are nice, easy to individualize with color choice for towels, accessories, etc.

  7. I have a 2 bathrooms in my home that need remodeled. I live on an island and everything is selected online and barged in. And our local contractors are busy for months ahead!
I like your color choices. Is that gray or taupe? I’d rather decorate colorwise with accessories than with the fixtures and permanent items in a room.
